Local youth looks to make a difference

Tuccaro is part of the Minister’s Student Advisory Council with the Alberta government, which aims to empower students “to become more involved and enthusiastic about their learning.” She and 30 other students from throughout the province meet to discuss education and work collaboratively to identify challenges.

Last year, Tuccaro was the keynote closing speaker at the IGNITE: Youth Action Conference in Edmonoton, where more than 100 students attended to discuss youth-related topics.

Furthermore, Tuccaro recently joined the High River Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council along with five other members to tackle youth issues, such as RCMP relations and mental health.
