International Conference On Climate Change

Organized by the Algerian Space Agency (ASAL), in partnership with the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), the conference will last three days and will focus on “Climate Change: a reality to be considered in developmental trajectories: modelling, space technology and adaptation. “

It will focus in particular on the impact of climate change on economic activities and natural environments in North Africa and the Sahel, the Algerian Space Agency (ASAL), organizer of the event, stressed.

As for the objectives of the conference, is aims at updating on the issue of climate change and its potential impacts on various sectors and natural environments in North Africa and the Sahel-Saharan region, identifying ways and means to deepen scientific knowledge of the region and the sharing of experiences and best practices in national and regional sectoral adaptation strategies to find potential lines of regional cooperation.

The Director General of ASAL, Azzedine Oussedik who chaired the conference opening session called in his address to implement strategies against climate change.
