At least 12 staff members and ten patients were killed in the air-strike over the weekend, which the United States (US) Army has described as a ‘tragic mistake’ during a mission aimed at targeting the Taliban.
The association has called on the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (Dirco) to speak up about the bombing and push for answers.
Sama chairman Mzukisi Grootboom says, “There should be a thorough and impartial investigation, at the level of the United Nations, and if there is any individual groups or nations that are involved then they should be brought to book.”
