Algeria UN Post 2015 Development Agenda

“It is important for the African countries to support the common position, to coordinate their action on the international plan and form a common front during the intergovernmental negotiations,” said Foreign Ministry’s General Director for Economic Relations and International Cooperation Merzak Belhimeur at the opening of the meeting of experts on the 2015 report on progress towards achieving the MDGs in Africa.

During the 22nd Summit of the African Union, held in Addis Ababa in January 2014, the African countries had adopted a common position on the UN post-2015 Development Agenda, which allowed them to reach a consensus on a set of challenges and priorities in terms of development.
