South Africa has pledged continuing support for the East African country in fighting terrorism.

In a statement on Tuesday, the Department of International Relations and Cooperation said it stands by the government and people of Kenya during this difficult time. It assured them of South Africa’s continued support in their efforts to address the scourge of terrorism in all its forms.

“The government of South Africa reiterates its stance that terrorism in any form and from whichever quarter cannot be condoned and South Africa stands firmly with the international community in condemning all terrorism and these acts in particular,” the department said.
