UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has appointed Under-Secretary- General for Economic and Social Affairs Wu Hongbo as the secretary- general for the Conference, which aims at adopting a comprehensive financing framework in support of the implementation of UN’s post- 2015 development agenda and for addressing emerging issues related to the mobilization and effective use of financial resources for sustainable development in fields of economy, society and environment, according to Wednesday’s announcement.
