Organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Environmental Protection Agency, the one-day event underscored Taiwan’s commitment to promoting awareness of the impact of climate change. It also addressed opportunities for strengthening cooperation and exchanges between Taiwan-based NGOs and their international counterparts.

The forum was attended by dozens of local academics, experts and NGO representatives, as well as those from Australia, France, India, Mexico, New Zealand and Sri Lanka. The event focused on indigenous people, women and youth—the three groups most vulnerable to climate change—and their role in tackling this global challenge.
