Opening Address by Prof. John A Tesha, Executive Secretary of the Forum for Former African Heads of State and Government, Africa Forum at the Regional Colloquium Hosted by the Department of Political Science UNISA and the Institute for Global Dialogue Opening Statement.’ As I begin my presentation I must admit that the most arduous and yet noble task facing Africa today is to review its historical past, and to identify its mistakes, drawbacks, challenges and accomplishments of the past 50 years. We should be cognizant of the famous African proverb which reminds us that until the rhinos and the rest of the endangered animals can tell their stories, tales of hunting will always glorify the hunter’.
