It is for this reason that I feel honoured to speak at this august gathering marking an important milestone in the history of relations between the Republic of South Africa and the People’s Republic of China (PRC).Today we celebrate 15 years of Diplomatic Relations between the two countries. It is the rich, and shared common history between the two countries that brings all of us here today. This day, therefore, presents a very special opportunity for us to pause, look back and reflect on the journey we as a country have travelled with the government and people of the PRC.
